2015 Year in Photos

Coastal Missions did a major clean out in January/February, including the shop. So encouraging to have new room in the shop for projects, especially during vessel maintenance time. This is the "after" photo. We should have taken a "before" photo too.

Every year Coastal Missions updates our nautical charts. While the Coastal Messenger is fitted with industry-standard electronic navigation equipment, paper charts are still legally required. And the charts need to be up to date which requires time, a big table, a few special charting tools like parallel rules and dividers, a few common tools like a pencil and fine pens, and a list of updates from the government. This year the neighbor's cat got in on the process.

Kitty peeking out from under charts.

The kitty wanted to get in on taking the staging to the boat too. "Staging" is the mariner's word for scaffolding. It is set up around the Coastal Messenger when she is out of the water. It makes painting and and other routine maintenance possible.
